Part Time Maintenance Technician Wanted
Hourly Rate: $40.00/hr plus overtime, as needed
Expected hours per week: 20-25
Duties:
* At the direction of the Director of Facilities, manage and maintain buildings and infrastructure,
troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues related to plumbing, HVAC, electrical and fire
protection systems.
* Utilize the work order system application to receive and manage assigned work orders and
accurately update work order status and completion details within the application.
* Respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations, promptly notifying senior staff of
incidents or unsafe conditions.
* Perform light construction, carpentry, painting, mechanical, and general maintenance projects.
* Participate in rotation of on-call, coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays, which
includes inspecting buildings and responding to alarms as necessary.
* Assist with conference and event set up and breakdown activities.
* Conduct routine building system checks to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
*Minimum 4 years work experience in plumbing, heating, mechanical maintenance or related
trades.
* Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems preferred.
* Ability to read blueprints, plumbing diagrams, and building plans preferred.
* Basic problem-solving skills, including issue identification and prioritization.
* Ability to understand instructions and deadlines and execute tasks as assigned.
* Ability to learn and handle routine tasks without close supervision.
* Ability to work with a diverse group of staff as a site team member.
* Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic work environment.
* Ability to work overtime during evenings, weekends, and holidays for events.
* Reliable, professional, and safety focused self-starter.
* Minimum physical requirements include ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis
and occasionally more; ability to push or pull up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis and occasionally
more; ability to bend, squat, kneel, twist/turn, climb, and reach above the shoulder frequently;
and ability to drive an automatic or standard shift vehicle frequently.
* Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record required. DMV background check and periodic
updates may be required.
